At Luxury Frontiers Studio, we’re excited to announce that Guy McGregor has joined us as Managing Director. Guy’s story is one of passion, adventure, and a lifelong dedication to hospitality and sustainable design. His journey, which started with a childhood dream, has taken him to some of Africa's most remote and breathtaking destinations—and now, it’s brought him to Luxury Frontiers.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Guy’s career is his 21-year journey with Singita, an award-winning hospitality brand. As General Manager for Group Development, Projects & Procurement, he led major lodge refurbishments, helped scale the brand from three to sixteen lodges across Africa, and established a design and procurement division to support this expanded portfolio.
“My experience at Singita was pivotal. These skills—leading projects, managing refurbishment timelines, and collaborating with various stakeholders—are essential in my role at Luxury Frontiers, where I oversee complex development projects for diverse operators globally.”
When asked what drew him to Luxury Frontiers, Guy is candid: “When Graeme approached me for this role, it felt like the perfect match, blending my expertise in project management, development, operations, contract management, and operations.” The opportunity to work on a global scale, across continents and with multiple brands was too exciting to pass up.

But it’s not just about scaling; for Guy, it’s about maintaining that bespoke, personalised approach to every project. “What excites me most,” Guy says, “is the opportunity to grow Luxury Frontiers at this critical stage while maintaining our signature approach and enhancing our ability to design uniquely tailored experiences.” He’s particularly eager to refine the company’s procurement and logistics processes, areas in which he has a wealth of experience from his time at Singita.
Guy’s approach to leadership is one of humility and empowerment. He believes in “leading from behind”—a principle instilled in him by remarkable mentors over the 21 years at Singita.
“At Luxury Frontiers, I want to create a space for our team to grow, collaborate, and create while ensuring everyone feels valued and trusted.”
Outside of work, Guy enjoys spending quality time with his adopted five-year-old son, whether playing or swimming together. He also loves playing padel with friends, tackling DIY projects around the house, and hosting friends over a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc.

Looking ahead, Guy sees exciting trends shaping the future of luxury experiential travel. One is weaving in sensory experiences to heighten the guest journey, and another is the trend toward simplification - discerning luxury that enhances the guest experience without overcomplicating it. This aligns perfectly with Luxury Frontiers’ approach: creating spaces that honour both the environment and the guest experience.
“At Luxury Frontiers Studio, we invest in the research and development of a location. We work closely with local vendors to design something special, capturing stories and sharing them with our clients and their teams to enrich the guest experience.”
This dedication to excellence, creativity, and responsible design makes him the perfect fit for Luxury Frontiers. As we embark on this exciting new chapter with Guy at the helm, we can’t wait to see how his vision and leadership will shape the future of Luxury Frontiers. Stay tuned for what’s to come.
