DESIGNING FOR CONSERVATION: A&K PHILANTROPY DESIGN COMPETITION

True luxury lies not just in exquisite designs and unparalleled experiences but also in the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom, and the betterment of our world. With this ethos, we proudly announce our participation in an inspiring initiative spearheaded by Abercrombie and Kent Philanthropy (AKP): an international open design competition for a new Conservation Centre at the Oloololo Gate in Masai Mara, Kenya.

GUIDING THE PATH TO CONSERVATION EXCELLENCE

The competition, orchestrated by AKP in collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects, seeks to create a state-of-the-art facility that redefines sustainable tourism and conservation education. The centre will serve as a hub of knowledge for visitors from around the world, providing an immersive experience highlighting the natural and cultural heritage of the Masai Mara.

Our very own Murray Hardman, Director of Architecture & Design Services at Luxury Frontiers, has taken on the esteemed role of architectural adviser and evaluator for this global competition. Murray's profound expertise and his commitment to advancing the fields of architecture and conservation make him the perfect fit for this role. His involvement is a testament to our collective commitment and fills us all with pride and confidence in our team.

DEDICATION BEYOND DESIGN

Luxury Frontiers' involvement goes beyond mere participation. By dedicating our time and expertise, we are contributing to a cause that aligns with our core values: the dissemination of knowledge, the pursuit of excellence, and the promotion of sustainable and thoughtful design.

Our role in evaluating the competition entries manifests our unwavering commitment to ensuring that the chosen design meets aesthetic and functional criteria and embodies the spirit of conservation and education.

The competition's evaluation phase commences on July 15, 2024. We invite you to follow this journey with us. Updates will come as the competition progresses, highlighting the innovative ideas and inspiring stories that emerge from this global collaboration.
